Our Services

Chrysalis House provides crisis, shelter, outreach and transitional support to women and their children who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing violence and abuse. Services are available for women who have been psychologically, emotionally, financially, physically, and/or sexually abused. We work with individuals, organizations and businesses in our community to end violence against women. Chrysalis House is located in Kentville, Nova Scotia. We serve the communities of Kings, Annapolis, and Hants County.

Our shelter operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Shelter and outreach services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL and to be accessed on a voluntary basis only.

We provide public education sessions and information  about violence against women to individuals and organizations upon request.

We are able to assist you to identify goals and next steps. We believe in the right of women to determine their own path to a life free from violence and abuse. An example of this would be housing. We do not find housing for women but we help women figure out how to find housing.
